Yaw is currently the Chief Revenue Officer at Xendit, a financial technology company providing payments across Southeast Asia. Xendit processes more than 25 billion USD annually and over 300 million transactions for global brands to the newest startups.
Prior to Xendit, Yaw was the GM of International Product and Business for CDN, Edge Computing, Video and cPaaS under Alibaba Cloud from 2019 to 2021. He led several product teams to build global products and drive international business growth for all regions outside of Mainland China together with the international sales team.
Yaw was also previously responsible for new market expansion in the Asia-Pacific region for Twilio. He has been intimately involved in the Twilio journey since the early days and was fortunate to have a front row seat in witnessing Twilio’s growth from a startup of 50 employees to a publicly-traded company of 2,500 employees when he left in 2019. Yaw started working with Twilio as an investor in 2012. He joined Twilio as employee #1 in Asia-Pacific in 2014 and led Twilio's deployment and business expansion across the region. Yaw was also part of the Wireless project team to build and launch Twilio Super SIM, a programmable IoT SIM providing connectivity in more than 180 countries globally.
Before Twilio, Yaw was the founding Investment Director at Infocomm Investments, a growth stage fund headquartered in Singapore. He launched and oversaw Infocomm Investments' operations in the United States from 2010 to 2014. His investments include Twilio (NYSE:TWLO), DataXu (acquired by Roku) and Quid (acquired by NetBase).
Yaw graduated with a B.Sc in Computer Science from Cornell University and M.Sc in Mgmt Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
